  JW Revelation interpretation is nuts.

  the witness interpretation of the book of revelation is the most ridiculous i have ever seen in a major religion.. sometimes i read revelation again, looking for it to come clear to my eyes,and i was reading it last night.

  the dubs are lost.. example.

  so much for the dubs on the 1918 ressurection.. verse 5:.

  its apparent that a number of people on this site have read eric hoffers "true believer" .did anyone find hoffers "3 monarchs" theory as spooky as i did?

  ( pages 130 thru 160 of the book).

  hoffer says that a movement is founded by a "man of words".this man is a writer,highly regarded as such and is often a charismatic person.he is an intellectual who speaks out about the corruption of the established order.. sounds like pastor russell to me.. after this founder, the movement is taken over by a fanatic, (second ruler ).here is hoffers description of this man, on page 153:.

  ive got this horrible nightmare, except im living it while im awake.. rapid change in the world,jobs disappearing,money being drained out of our society into the world economy, equalizing everything out until chinese and americans live at the same economic level, loss of direct human service in corporations,you have to discuss your problems with a computer voice,theres only 1 place to buy hardware in australia now, bunnings stores,no competition,pretty soon there will only be one supermarket chain,one bank,noone will leave their home even to order groceries,everything will go thru the computer.. and then?.

  the intelligence inside this plastic box, one mind, will reveal its true nature.

  ive got a very interesting book here called "propaganda" by jacques ellul.

  french master of propaganda analysis.. on page 56 he speaks of a presentation technique called "innuendo".

  back in the seventies i recall the wt was always on about the un.. the un is going to turn on religion.

  the un is going to assume a world dominant role.. of course the un was nothing back then,no big power, but the witnesses.

  were always on about its coming role.. in the 80s the uns role seemed to fade into obscurity, not mentioned much anymore.. then in the early 90s george bush came along with his new world order.

  regardings this board,and it effects.

  it is worth(i think)pointing out that this medium is different from ordinary face to face communication.

  there is no body language to infere whether a person is joking or not in what they say.

  also the meaning of a particular word can mean one thing to one person, something completely different from another persons perspective.. give each other some slack!
